EMLE Alumni Activities

The EMLE Alumni Platform is a web-based forum for EMLE alumni, which allows them to create personal profiles, to upload their CVs and publications, and to easily stay in touch using the platform's email function. The initiative was started during the academic year 2007/2008 but an increasing number of alumni from much earlier years already use the forum. Registered members can access the platform here. To request a new account, EMLE alumni should contact Mr. Louis Visscher

The Society of Students of the Erasmus Programme in Law and Economics is an international student organisation of alumni and current students of the academic programme. Its goal is to "serve as a channel and provide a venue for the collaborative efforts both within and beyond the academe of students of the Programme in pursuit of academic excellence, holistic learning and life-long fellowship". The Society was founded on December 3, 2002, by ten students of the Academic Year 2002-2003. The platform of action identified by the founding members include the establishment of a Journal, the establishment of an Annual Conference and the founding of Chapters across the world. You can visit the website of the Erasmus Law and Economics Review founded by the LE students society at www.eler.org

Student Voices

"Dear Prospective EMLE Students,
Dear Professors,

I am very happy for being an EMLE student and in particular having had the chance to study in two renowned universities, respectively ILE/Hamburg University-Germany and RILE, Eramus University Rotterdam.

Being a non EU student, I was eligible and lucky to be granted the Eramus Mundus Merit Scholarship from the European Commission for Education and Science.

This programme has enabled me to make use of economic methods to explain the efficiency of laws.  I was impressed from the high profile of lecturers and their devotion to this school of thought. EMLE Programme is not like a usual LL.M. programme -  it goes beyond by providing new insights and approaches.

Furthermore, the EMLE programme helped me to build up precious friendship with young people coming all over the continents! I miss  my EMLE friends.

Last but not least, My special thanks and gratitude go to Prof. Dr. Thomas Eger for his patience, very high teaching performance and  kindness.

Best Wishes,

Zamira Xhaferri"
